{"id":343,"date":"2024-06-14T12:47:55","date_gmt":"2024-06-14T12:47:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikehynes.ie\/blog\/?p=343"},"modified":"2024-06-14T12:50:43","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T12:50:43","slug":"visit-of-douglas-college-vancouver-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikehynes.ie\/blog\/2024\/06\/14\/visit-of-douglas-college-vancouver-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Visit of Douglas College, Vancouver, Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the School of Political Science &amp; Sociology at the University of Galway\u2019s ongoing commitment to collegiality, cooperation, and community, Mike hosted a group of academics and undergraduate students from Douglas College, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada \u2013 under the leadership of Dr Joey Moore from the Sociology and Anthropology Department \u2013 on Wednesday the 13<sup>th<\/sup> of June 2024. Mike provided a walking presentation and tour of Galway discussing the historical, political, and socioeconomic development of the city over the recent past.
